 IAMCOMPANY.COM Incoming/Outgoing Email Filters perform 6 checks: 1) Emails from known internet spammers are blocked- using continually updated internet databases (i.e. SpamCop) 2) MIME Problems are blocked- broken MIME continuation headers, use of comments within standard headers, repeated occurances of MIME headers, MIME boundaries over 250 chars are blocked, differing definitions of a particular attachment filename causes it to be blocked, doubling defining the same MIME boundary is blocked, certain MIME types containing windows executable extensions are specifically blocked, broken headers within a MIME attachment are blocked, windows executable attachments that aren't marked as being of MIME type "application/....." are blocked, attachment filenames over 256 chars are blocked, double-barrelled filenames are blocked, and CLSID file extensions are blocked. Future viruses using these means of email propagation will be blocked. 3) Viruses are blocked- Clam Antivirus ("open source") checks all email against a daily updated virus definition list. If email is found to have virus either attached or in compressed zip format it will be quarantined. The sender will receive notification that the email has not gone through due to a virus in the email. 4) Attachments are screened- Attachments that are considered security threats/illegitamate emails are dropped with email notification sent to sender, stating it is company policy to not allow these attachments to go through. These such attachments have these suffixes (*.mp3, *.mpeg, *.wav, *.avi, *.wmv, *.wma, *.exe, *.bat, *.vbs, *.lnk, *.scr, *.wsh, *.hta, *.pif) 5) Statistical Spam Analysis- Beyond the certain threshold of email from a sender, and utilizing Vipul's Razor user databases, it will effectively tag 90% of all spam. Spamassassin will also utilize several levels of logic to perform analysis. 6) Company Specific Keywords- Each company is seperate in the requirements for what deems appropriate for corporate-level email. Our customized script will check each email (header and body of text/html message) for usage of Keywords and will drop email that have these keywords. Mobile Users- We also understand the need for company's sales people to be mobile. So included with the email services is a web-based email system. Each user will type in their full email address and then input password to check email anywhere in the world. **Criteria- VJ Consulting, Inc. will not allow or take part in hosting email sites that take part in soliciting (spamming) other people with objectionable subject matter, or without consent from the recipient. We reserve the right to perform periodic audits of our customer email activity to make sure that they do not contain topics such as pornography, hateful matter, etc. We reserve the right to refuse customers for items deemed objectionable.
